Trichocereus peruvianus “Rosei 2”
Trichocereus peruvianus “Rosei 2” comes from the large Fields Collection in Australia. It was one of the oldest cactus collections in Australia and attracted cactus fans from all over the country. Recently, Mr. Fields gave most of his plants to a Botanical Garden, which ensures that the plants from his collection will stay around, even now that the Fields collection is substantially smaller.
ROSEI 2 is probably a Trichocereus peruvianus from Matucana, similar to other Matucana strains like ICARO DNA. The skin color is very blue and covered with a frosty glow that makes ROSEI 2 a very nice clone to have. Trichocereus rosei is an old name for Trichocereus peruvianus and it was the name that was originally attached to them.
